| Abstract |
The TBNEP, the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County and the Environmental Action Commission of Manatee County cooperatively conducted a survey of benthic habitats throughout Tampa Bay. Sampling design and collection methods were based on those used for the EPA's environmental Monitoring and Assessment Program (EMAP-E). Station locations are based on probability-based sampling design intended to characterize a large area based on sampling only a small portion of a region. The benthos was selected as one indicator of environmental condition for this program. This report presents the results of the faunal identifications. A number of summary tables are included to facilitate comparisons to historic data and information from other areas. |
