| Abstract |
The report contains background information which was used for determining the need for new source performance standards (NSPS) for industrial incinerators in accordance with Section 111 of the Clean Air Act. The industrial incinerator population is surveyed and categorized by process type, capacity, class of owner, and other factors. Incinerator designs, control strategies, and state and local regulations are discussed. The impact of a potential NSPS on particulate emissions is calculated. |
