Abstract
The report contains procedures for detecting rotaviruses based upon an immunofluorescence test using a monoclonal antibody and fluorescein-isothiocyanate-conjugated antibody staining method to visualize virus-infected cells. Also contained in the report are test methods for detecting hepatitis A viruses based upon the use of a labeled nucleic acid (gene) probe in hybridization tests to detect virus nucleic acid.
