Abstract
This report describes the results of borehole geophysical logging and aquifer-isolation (packer) test at the North Penn Area 5 Superfund Site. Caliper, natural-gamma, single-point-resistance, fluid-resistivity, fluid-temperature, and heatpulse-flow-meter logs were run in 32 boreholes. Digital acoustic-televiewer logs were run in 32 boreholes. Borehole television surveys were run in 32 boleholes. The report identifies water-bearing zones and intervals of vertical borehole flow. Aquifer-isolation tests were performed in four boreholes. Samples for water-quality analyses for volatile organic compounds (VOC's) were collected from discrete zones in four boleholes to determine the distribution of contamination. This report also presents a potentiometric-surface map of the site on July 13, 1998.
