Abstract
1,2-Diethylhydrazine is a probable human carcinogen, classified as weight-of-evidence Group B2 under the EPA Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk Assessment. Evidence on potential carcinogenicity from animal studies is 'Sufficient', and the evidence from human studies is 'No Data.' Data available are inadequate for calculating a potency factor (F) and no quantitative inferences can be made. 1,2-Diethylhydrazine is, therefore, assigned to the median potency factor range and placed in potency group 2 under the CAG's methodology for evaluating potential carcinogens. Combining the weight-of-evidence group and the potency group, 1,2-diethylhydrazine is assigned a 'MEDIUM' hazard ranking.
