Abstract
The report reviews the water pollution problem in the Hudson-Mohawk Region, which is defined to include the waters in the Mohawk River Basin east of, and including Rome, New York and the Hudson River Basin north of the Bear Mountain Bridge at the Orange and Putnam Counties' southern boundaries. The discharge of wastes from municipalities, industries and other sources degrades water quality, preventing full utilization of these waters. The purpose of the report was to delineate those actions which should be undertaken immediately to prevent further degradation and to provide enhancement of these waters. (Author)
