Abstract
Terbutryn is a triazine-related herbicide registered and used in the U.S. for control of many broadleaf weeds and grasses on wheat, barley, and sorghum, and in noncropland areas. The document reports the results of the Agency's review of currently available information concerning the potential health effects of terbutryn. Part I is the introduction, which describes the organization of the document. Part II presents the chemical and physical characteristics and other general information about terbutryn. Part III is a summary of the chronic effects of terbutryn observed in the laboratory. Part IV contains the Agency's analysis of terbutryn exposure to both the general population and applicators. Part V consists of the Agency's quantitative assessments of risk to these exposed populations. The conclusions and recommendations regarding terbutryn as a RPAR candidate are given in Part VI. Finally, Part VII is a bibliographic listing of the studies cited in the report.
