Abstract |
Groups of 50 male mice received twice-weekly applications of 25 or 50 mg doses of a test material. C-181 induced four skin tumors in three mice when tested in 50 mg doses as a 75% solution in mineral oil. Both benign and malignant skin tumors were observed in 1750 mice treated with C-180 along with severe dermal and systemic toxicity. An 18% decrease in average body weight and a marked reduction in survival was observed with C-180. No skin tumors were observed with either C- 178 or C-182. |
