| Abstract |
This document is intended for use a reference tool for hazardous waste site remediation where incineration is a treatment alternative. Its purpose is to provide the user with a collection of information garnered from the experiences of those using incineration. The document presents: useful lessons applicable to the evaluation and selection process as it pertains to incineration; guidance for good operating practice; and information useful in the planning and initiation of remedies based on incineration technology. The data and information used in the preparation of this document were collected from personnel who have been involved in the selection and application of incineration techniques to hazardous waste disposal as well as from a comprehensive literature search. |
