Contents Notes | This sampling guidance manual provides the framework by which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its National Dioxin Study, will collect samples in order to assess the extent of Dioxin contamination in the environment. The Environmental Protection Agency and state agencies will be investigating and sampling for Dioxins at production, disposal, and processing sites where pesticides and herbicides, possibly contaminated with Dioxins, were handled. The manual's purpose is to provide specific guidance on sample collection methods to obtain representative, comparable, and consistent Dioxin samples in all media on a National level. |
