Abstract
The 10-acre Denver Radium (Operable Unit 8) site is a former radioactive extraction industry located in Denver, Denver County, Colorado. From the 1920's to 1984, the Shattuck property was used to treat and process molybdenum ores, radium slimes, and uranium compounds and ores. The ROD addresses a final remedy for radioactive contaminated debris, ground water, and soil, as OU8. The primary contaminants of concern affecting the soil, ground water, and debris are inorganics, including asbestos; metals, including arsenic and lead; and radioactive materials.
