Abstract
Efforts made during the current year have been concerned mainly with the determination and quantification of the factors that affect the economics of the froth flotation harvesting process. Three criteria can be used in evaluating the process: Percentage clarification of feed suspensions; Absolute amounts of harvest per unit of raw materials required; and Absolute amounts of harvest obtained per unit time. It was suggested that, for both unialgal cultures and lagooned sewage, froth flotation processing can be evaluated best in terms of actual amounts of material removed from or remaining in feed suspensions.
