Abstract
This document presents technical information on which the proposed effluent limitations guidelines and standards for the plastics molding and forming (PMF) point source category are based. It includes information on the category profile, water use, wastewater characteristics, treatment technology options, treatment technology costs, treatment technology effluent quality, and production normalized flows. The proposed effluent limitations guidelines for the PMF category based on BPT, BAT, and BCT are presented in this document along with the proposed NSPS. No pretreatment standards are proposed for this category.

Contents Notes
This report presents information used to develop the proposed effluent limitations guidelines and standards for the plastic molding and forming (PM & F) industry. It characterizes the PM & F industry, discusses subcategory of the industry, presents water uses practices, characterizes PM & F process waters, presents treatment and control technologies, evaluates those technologies, and presents the final effluent limitations guidelines for direct dischargers and pretreatment standards for indirect dischargers. Also presents capital and operation and maintenance cost estimates for the treatment technologies.
