Abstract
Published emission factors for CO, NO, NO2, and NOx have been summarized. In a statistical analysis of the available data, stove differences and type of combustion are the most important factors in explaining the observed variance in emission factors. Limited data also suggest that CO and NO2 emission factors vary considerably with gas flow rate. It is concluded that the influence of stove design, gas flow rate, and characteristics of stove use are key factors which merit further study.
