Abstract
The report provides a summary of the technical data used in developing proposed new source performance standards (NSPS) for small industrial-commercial-institutional steam generating units (small boilers). The report focuses on nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from boilers firing coal, oil, and gas with heat input capacities of 100 million Btu/hour or less. Conclusions are drawn from the data regarding the performance of technologies available to reduce NOx emissions. Alternative control levels are then chosen based on the conclusions drawn from the data.
