Abstract
During July and August of 1968 and 1969 field data were collected on fractures in crystalline rocks in southeastern New Hampshire for comparing geologic structures and yields of drilled wells. The Exeter pluton, which is conspicuously broken by joints and shear zones, crops out in many places in southeastern New Hampshire. The outcrop length is approximately 20 miles and the width ranges from about one-half mile to 2.0 miles. Relationships between shear zones and the yield of drilled wells are shown. Water yields from wells in the study area ranged from less than 5 to 100 gpm. (Author)
