The following technologies are addressed: (1) Conventional Boildr; (2) Diesel Engine; (3) Fluidized-Bed Combustion; (4) Combined Cycle Systems; (5) Low/Medium-Btu Gasification; (6) Chemically Active Fluid Bed; (7) Indirect Coal Liquefaction; (8) High-Btu Gasification; (9) Surface Shale Oil Processing; (10 In situ Shale Oil Processing; (11) Direct Coal Liquefaction; (12) Fuel Cells; and (13) Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD). The present status of each technology is discussed along with prospects for commercial implementation.
