Abstract |
A program of government and industry research for dealing with particulate emissions is outlined. This program is based on an evaluation of current technology and an assessment of what developments in control and measurement techniques can reasonably be expected during the next five to ten years. The report identifies and summarizes technical problems in which a six-point program for improving particulate-emission control is proposed. The background and scope of the study are discussed. Emission sources and particle collection technology are also reviewed. The two remaining include discussions of the measuring and monitoring of particle concentrations and of the characteristics of fine particles. (Author) |
