Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the need for and value of storage of water in the proposed Blue Marsh Reservoir for municipal and industrial water supply and for water quality control. This reservoir is proposed by the Corps of Engineers for multi-purpose development. The area considered in this study encompasses portions of Berks, Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties, in southeastern Pennsylvania. Project needs and benefits have been evaluated for the period 1970 to 2020. (Author)
