Abstract
The objectives of the study were to determine the economic growth and to evaluate the need for and value of storage for water supply and quality control for the Tar River Basin. The study area consists of the entire Tar drainage basin, which includes all or parts of eleven counties of North Carolina. The period of study covers the present and the 50-year period commending in 1975, and extending to 2025. The needs for water supply and quality control storage were determined for the years of 1980, 2000, and 2025.
