Abstract
A brief water quality survey was conducted at Gibson Cove and Kodiak Harbor, Kodiak, Alaska, during the week of August 26, 1974, to determine the water quality influences of waste discharges from 15 seafood processing plants. Data was obtained for assaying improvements in the receiving waters as a consequence of the installation of screening equipment for solid removal from effluents. Dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, conductivity and transparency, and selected chemical and visual analyses of bottom deposits were made. No bacteriological samples were taken.
