Abstract
The report gives results of studies of the environmental aspects of the pressurized fluidized-bed coal combustion process, using two experimental facilities: a 218 kg coal/hr miniplant continuous combustion/sorbent regeneration system (0.63 MW equivalent), and a 13 kg coal/hr batch combustion unit. Combustion studies were conducted to characterize the emissions of SO2, SO3, NOx, particulates, and CO from the combustors as a function of combustion conditions.
