Abstract
The proceedings document presentations made during the August 29, 1978 industry briefing conference which dealt with the status of EPA/IERL-RTP's flue gas desulfurization (FGD) research, development, and application programs. Subjects considered included: lime/limestone scrubbing test results, forced oxidation, process cost and energy requirements, by-product disposal options, and future test plans. The conference provided developers, vendors, users, and those concerned with regulatory guidelines with a current review of progress made in IERL-RTP's FGD technology development program.
