Abstract
The document presents a summary of currently available portable gaseous fugitive emissions analyzers, which analyzers are in common use by industry, the type of analyses being performed, compounds for which the analyzers are being used, and typical problems encountered with operating these analyzers in the field. The principles of operation, advantages and limitations of the various instruments are also discussed. The information contained in the document is based primarily on a review of manufacturers' literature and discussions with the users community.
