Abstract
The report provides guidance, along with EPA Water Quality Criteria and State Water Quality Standards and other information, to help refine and improve Chesapeake Bay Agreement programs designed to provide for the restoration and protection of living resources, their habitats, and ecological relationships. The Living Resources Task Force, an ad hoc workgroup of the Chesapeake Bay Program, was charged by the Chesapeake Bay Implementation Committee to develop an approach to define habitat objectives for the living resources of the Bay. The report was produced by the Task Force to establish a technically defensible approach in setting regional habitat objectives for Chesapeake Bay by initially assembling habitat requirement for individual target species. It summarizes the results of the Task Force efforts to date and provides the basis for future refinement of the habitat objectives approach.
