Abstract
The report gives results of a study to: (1) develop a mathematical model describing fish populations as a function of life process dynamics and facilities that impose additional mortality on fish populations; and (2) improve objective impingement impact prediction. The model accounts for hatching, growing, and mortality as functions of time and permits computer simulation of impingement impact. It also accounts for the genetic and environmental heterogeneity effects on the growth of a cohort of fish. Gizzard shad data collected by TVA were used to corroborate the model.
