| Abstract |
During the first six months of 1982, the Office of Drinking Water of the Environmental Protection Agency carried out a survey of the financial and operating characteristics of community water systems. A random sample stratified on the basis of the system size and ownership was selected. Twelve size categories based on population served were used. The following four ownerships were chosen as the basis of stratification: Public, Private, Ancillary and Native American. |
