Abstract

One of the primary actions of the President's Clean Action Plan was to develop a strategy to regulate animal feeding operations (AFOs). This draft strategy proposes a set of more than 100 actions designed to minimize threats to water quality and public health caused by AFOs. A key component of the strategy is the implementation of comprehensive nutrient management plans for all large AFOs. This document includes a press release, summary, and memo.
