Abstract

The Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972, P.L. 92-500, authorizes a 75% Federal share of the cost of construction of municipal wastewater treatment works projects. This Manual of References has been prepared as part of a general U.S. Environmental Protection Agency effort to provide sufficient information to improve the progress of on-going projects under the construction grants program and encourage the submittal of additional construction grant applications from localities. It contains relevant program regulations, guidance and technical information.
