Abstract
The US Environmental Protection Agency has completed its reregistration eligibility decision for the pesticide captan (N-trichloromethylthio- 4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboximide). This document presents the Agency's decision regarding the reregistration eligibility of the registered uses of captan including the risk to infants and children for any potential dietary, drinking water, dermal or oral exposures, and cumulative effects as stipulated under the FQPA. Section I is the introduction. Section II describes captan, its uses, data requirements and regulatory history. Section III discusses the human health and environmental assessment based on the data available to the Agency. Section IV presents the reregistration decision for captan. Section V discusses the reregistration requirements for captan. Finally,Section VI contains the Appendices that support this Reregistration Eligibility Decision.
