Abstract
When dealing with atmospheric pollution, it is necessary to amass, catalog, sort, evaluate and perform calculations upon large volumes of data. The Air Quality Data Handling System (AQDHS-II) provides air pollution control agencies with the capability to create and maintain their own air quality data bases and to retrieve data and generate reports from those data bases. This report contains step by step procedures for the operation of each program in the system. Each program has sections containing a description, file formats, options, error messages, catalogued JCL (IBM), warnings and special instructions, cost considerations, and related programs and procedures. The report is structured along system functional lines; i.e., file creation and maintenance, data accessing and manipulation, and reports. There is also a section dealing with inter-functional procedures and one which deals with JCL and general topics. The AQDHS-II is compatible with SAROAD and will automatically handle EPA reporting requirements.
