Abstract | In recent years, suspicion has steadily increased of carcinogenic hazards in the chromate-producing industry. Although various theories have been advanced as to the causative agent believed to be responsible for bronchiogenic cancer in the industry, this agent has not been precisely identified. The results of the study constitute a contribution to knowledge in that they substantiate the existence of a cancer problem among chromate workers, help to identify the causative agents, and present methods of controlling the hazard. |
