Abstract
The report provides a summary of the technical data used in developing proposed new source performance standards for small industrial-commercial-institutional steam generating units (small boilers). The report focuses on particulate matter (PM) emissions from boilers firing coal, oil, and wood with heat input capacities of 100 million Btu/hour or less. Conclusions are drawn from the data regarding the performance of technologies available to reduce PM emissions. Alternative control levels are then chosen based on the conclusion drawn from the data.
