Abstract
Procedure for Detection and Quantitation Early in its work, the Committee reached agreement on 15 statements that accurately describe What We Need A Procedure To Do. These statements were subsequently used as criteria for evaluating potential procedures for detection and quantitation. The Committee selected five procedures to test in a Pilot Study. When reviewing the Pilot Study results, the Committee agreed that the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL) procedure included most of the elements that Committee members had said needed to be incorporated in a procedure. The Committee then revised the procedure, based on the Pilot Study results, to improve its performance, producing the DQ FAC Single Lab Procedure v2.4.
