Abstract
The Butz Landfill is an inactive landfill in Jackson Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Beginning in 1965, municipal waste, sewage sludge/liquids, and possibly some industrial wastes were accepted at the landfill. The ROD addresses OU2, designed to prevent human exposure to contaminated ground water. The primary contaminants of concern affecting the ground water are VOCs, including benzene, PCE, and TCE.
