Abstract
Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate (111-15-9) was evaluated for developmental effects in groups of 8 female Dutch rabbits administered the test substance by inhalation for 6 hours/day on days 6 through 18 of gestation at concentrations of 0, 100, 250, or 450 ppm. Animals were sacrificed on day 21 of gestation. Reduced bodyweight gain and food consumption was seen in the 100, 250, and 450 ppm groups during the first few days of exposure. Fetal weights were reduced at 100, 250, and 450 ppm. The number of live fetuses per litter was reduced at 450 ppm (not statistically significant).
