Abstract | Developmental toxicity was evaluated in groups of 33 female Sprague-Dawley rats receiving whole-body exposure to ethyl acrylate at vapor concentrations of 0, 50, or 150 ppm, for 6 hours/day on gestation days 6-15, followed by fetal examination on gestation day 21. High-dose dams had decreased body weight gain and food consumption, and increased water consumption. The compound was not embryotoxic or fetotoxic. The was a small increase in fetal malformations in the high-dose group, but the difference was not significant. |
