Abstract
The Nonpoint Sources of Water Pollution in the 208 Area is Appendix B-1 of the Areawide Waste Treatment and Water Quality Management Plan for Southern Illinois. The Report was prepared under Section 208 of the Water Pollution Control Act, as amended. The Report discusses in detail the nonpoint pollution sources including flourspar and coal mining, petroleum extraction, silviculture, construction, hydrographic modification, rural sewage and agriculture. The report includes recommendations for control of the nonpoint pollution sources, and discusses implementation measure.
