Abstract
A series of modeling analyses appropriate for characterizing transport of ozone and its precursors into nonattainment areas is discussed in the report. Air quality and meteorological measurements needed to characterize transport in identified modeling techniques are also identified. The report fulfills requirements in Section 184(d) of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, in which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is directed to identify criteria for estimating transport of pollutants into ozone nonattainment areas.
