| Abstract |
The purpose of the current study which includes a detailed engineering study and this Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), is to develop, evaluate, and select a system to meet the waste discharge requirements promulgated by the Regional Water Quality Control Board for the Valley. Valley wastewater has historically been discharged to natural water-courses. The goals of improving and protecting water quality must be pursued jointly with the goals of improving and protecting the Valley's Air Quality. |
