Abstract |
The paper discusses the environmental technology verification (ETV) of paint overspray arrrestors undertaken as part of a program to accelerate the development and commercialization of improved environmental technologies through third-party verification and reporting of performance. The goal of the program is to verify the performance characteristics of commercial-ready environmental technologies through the evaluation of objective and quality-assured data so that potential purchasers and permitters are provided with an independent and credible assessment of the technology that they are buying or permitting. The program seeks to achieve this goal by providing high-quality peer-reviewed data on technology performance to those involved in the design, distribution, financing, permitting, purchase, and use of environmental technologies. The program recently evaluated the performance of paint overspray arrestors used primarily in the aerospace industry. |
