Abstract
The report discusses organizational issues affecting environmental auditing and whether managers can have faith in the capability and integrity of their auditing programs. It suggests factors managers may take into account when establishing or upgrading audit programs. Because so many variables exist within a firm regarding audit systems, managers should take a position allowing them to evaluate evolving programs and make corrections when appropriate.
