Abstract
The case study presents the results of an analysis performed by EPA to assess the potential benefits of reducing the cumulative impacts of I&E at CWIS at the J.R. Whiting plant, a Great Lakes facility located on Lake ERie. Section H1-1 of this background chapter provides a brief description of the facility, Section H1-2 describes the environmental setting, and Section H1-3 presents information on the area's socioeconomic characteristics.
