| Abstract | Section 312(a) of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1970 requires an annual report on the prospective costs and impacts of governmental and private efforts to carry out the provisions of the Act. This report is the sixth submitted under the Act. National cost estimates are presented for governmental programs as well as those for the control of the major sources of air pollution. |
