Abstract
This report presents the results of a specific site assessment of the dam safety of the Units 1 & 2 Bottom Ash Ponds, Units 1 & 2 Fly Ash Pond A, Units 1 & 2 Stage Two Evaporation Pond (STEP) and Units 3 & 4 Effluent Holding Pond (EHP) coal combustion waste impoundments at PPL Montanas Colstrip Power Plant. These impoundments were assessed because their failure may result in significant economic loss, environmental damage, disruption of lifeline facilities or loss of life (significant or high hazard according to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classification).
