Abstract
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for halogenated solvent cleaning (58 FR 62566) under authority of section 112 of the Clean Air Act (Act). Public comments were requested on the proposal in the Federal Register. There were 57 commenters composed mainly on States, solvent cleaning machine users, solvent cleaning machine vendors, and industry trade associations. All of the comments that were submitted, along with responses to these comments, are summarized in the document. The summary of comments and responses serves as the basis for the revisions made to the standards between proposal and promulgation.
