Abstract
This volume provides descriptions of selected processes currently used for the treatment or disposal of hazardous wastes. These descriptions detail the important features of each process and discuss their applicability to the various classes of waste materials. This volume contains descriptions of four biological processes including activated sludge, aerated lagoons, oxidation ponds, and trickling filter. There are also five miscellaneous processes described including dialysis, electrodialysis, ion exchange, reverse osmosis and radioactive waste solidification.
