Abstract
The report discusses the effectiveness of a novel evaporation method which reduces the energy and capital cost requirements for the renovation/recycle of industrial wastewaters. Interface enhancement depends on foamy two-phase vapor/liquid flow induced during the evaporation of a liquid flowing over a heat transfer surface; this flow mode substantially increases the liquid's evaporation rate, after adding a surfactant.
