The purpose of this study is to review the current new source performance standards (NSPS) for electric arc furnaces (EAF) in the steel industry and to assess the need for revision on the basis of developments that either have occurred or are expected to occur in the near future: this document contains background information, current status of emission control technology for EAF's, and recommendations for revision of the standard.
