Abstract |
Standards of Performance for the control of emissions from electric arc furnaces and argon-oxygen decarburization vessels in the steel industry are being proposed under authority of Section 111 of the Clean Air Act. These standards would apply to those new, reconstructed, or modified electric arc furnaces and argon-oxygen decarburization vessels that commence construction on or after the data of proposal of the regulations. This document contains background information and environmental and economic impact assessments of the regulatory alternatives considered in developing the proposed standards. |
